Group Calling allows you to connect hands-free with a private group of trusted people — such as friends, family members, or colleagues — using voice commands on your Ray-Ban Meta and Oakley Meta glasses.
Instead of connecting to a random volunteer, your call is routed to the first available person in your selected group.
Before you begin
To use Group Calling, you must have a Group set up in Be My Eyes.
Groups are curated lists of trusted individuals (such as friends, family, or colleagues) who you can contact directly. Add people you trust to your group. Make sure each contact is available to receive calls.
Group names should be unique and easy to say, as you’ll use voice commands to call them.
See Be My Eyes Groups - Call a Trusted Friend or Family Member in a Pre-defined Group for more.
How it works
Use a voice command on your Ray-Ban Meta and Oakley Meta glasses to start a call. Say the name of your saved group (for example, “Call my family”) The call is sent to all members of that group at once. The first available person who answers will be connected to you.
How to place a group call
- Put on your Ray-Ban Meta or Oakley Meta glasses
- Make sure the group you want to call has already been created in Be My Eyes
- Say: “Hey Meta, Be My Eyes with [group name]”
Be My Eyes will find your group and start the call. The first available group member who answers will be connected.
Important notes
Calls are still connected on a “first to answer” basis within your group. If no one in the group answers, you can try again or use other Be My Eyes features. Group Calling is designed to complement — not replace — the existing volunteer network
Privacy and safety
Only people you add to your group will receive your Group calls. You remain in control of who is included in your groups. Calls are initiated by you and only when needed
