Call a Volunteer with "Hey Meta, Be My Eyes"
While you are wearing your Meta AI glasses, just say “Hey Meta, Be My Eyes”. This will connect you to the first available volunteer who will be able to see through the camera of your glasses and provide visual descriptions through the on-ear speakers in the arms of the glasses.
If the volunteer is having trouble seeing something in detail you can remind them that they are able to take a snapshot within the app on their phone and zoom in, if it helps them. Any snapshots taken are automatically deleted at the end of the call.
During the call, if you double tap the capture button on the right hand arm of your glasses it will toggle the camera to your smartphone. Double tapping again toggles back to the glasses. This can be useful for situations where you want to switch between the outward looking world view that the glasses provide to a more contained or selfie view from the smartphone camera.
To end the call, you can either double tap the touchpad (not the capture button) on the side of the right arm of the glasses, or use the Be My Eyes interface on your phone. You will hear an “end of call” notification indicating that you are no longer using Be My Eyes and the video call has ended.
