Call connection time can vary from instant connection to several seconds or more. A longer connection time does not indicate a lack of available volunteers.

If it takes more than a minute to connect, we advise you to end the call and try again.

Connecting on Be My Eyes can feel like a long time, because we're used to the immediate connection on a phone call. When you make a call request with Be My Eyes, the app has to select a batch of volunteers, send them a notification, wait for someone to answer and connect you. If no volunteers answer the notification, the process will be repeated until someone answers. This naturally takes a bit longer than connecting on a regular phone call, so please be patient.
