Be My Eyes is available for Huawei devices running HarmonyOS, giving you access to volunteer calls on compatible Huawei phones and tablets.
Supported devices
Be My Eyes supports Huawei devices running HarmonyOS 3.0 or later. For the best experience, HarmonyOS 4.0 or later is recommended.
Download and install
- Open AppGallery on your Huawei device.
- Search for Be My Eyes.
- Tap Install.
- Once installed, open the app and sign in with your email address.
Sign in
- Enter the email address you want to use for your Be My Eyes account.
- Tap Send magic link.
- Check your email and tap the sign-in link. It expires after 15 minutes.
- You'll be signed in to Be My Eyes automatically.
Call a volunteer
- On the home screen, tap Call a Volunteer.
- Wait to be connected. Average wait times vary by time of day.
- The volunteer will see through your camera. Tell them what you need help with.
- Tap End Call when you're done.
Grant permissions
Be My Eyes needs access to your camera and microphone. If you're prompted to grant permissions, tap Allow. You can also check permissions in Settings → Apps → Be My Eyes → Permissions on your device.
Notifications
If you're a sighted volunteer, enable notifications so you don't miss incoming calls. Go to Settings → Notifications → Be My Eyes and turn on notifications.
Accessibility features
Be My Eyes on HarmonyOS is compatible with HiVision's screen reader. Make sure screen reader support is enabled in your device accessibility settings for the best experience.
