Support your blind and low-vision employees by giving them access to video call sighted colleagues through Be My Eyes.
What is Be My Eyes for Work?
Be My Eyes for Work allows your company or organization to support blind and low-vision employees in their work. Oftentimes, blind and low-vision employees can run into a situation at work that requires a bit of sighted assistance, but because of the possibility of sensitive company information, they cannot connect with a Be My Eyes volunteer. With Be My Eyes for Work, visually impaired employees will get access to a closed group of your sighted employees to provide the visual assistance needed to complete work tasks.
How does it work?
Instead of calling a sighted volunteer through Be My Eyes, blind and low-vision employees can choose to call a sighted colleague to solve work-related tasks. The visually impaired employee will have access to a closed group consisting of sighted colleagues who have signed up to assist through the app.
When the blind or low-vision employee requests assistance from a sighted colleague, the colleagues will receive a notification from Be My Eyes on their device. The first to answer will be connected to the caller through a live video connection. Both parties will be able to hear and talk to each other, but only the sighted employee will have access to the camera feed from the blind or low-vision employees phone. With the help of the video feed, the sighted employee can give visual assistance fast and efficiently, without any information leaving the company or organization.
