Specialized Help is a customer support platform that allows blind and low-vision Be My Eyes users to connect to our partner companies and organizations directly through the app. Instead of using traditional support channels, like phone, chat and email, blind and low-vision users can connect to customer support agents through a video call, to show their problem real-time.
As a Specialized Help partner, you company or organization can offer accessible support by utilizing our video call platform and our global network of blind and low-vision people.
How does Specialized Help work?
As a Specialized Help partner, blind and low-vision users can contact your support center through the Specialized Help menu in the Be My Eyes app. If a user needs help from your support team, they'll locate your profile in the Specialized Help menu and place a call to your organization.
Your agent(s) will then be notified of an incoming Be My Eyes call. Once answered, the agent will be connected to the caller through a one-way video and two-way audio connection meaning that both parties can hear and talk to each other, but only the agent will have access from the camera feed from the caller.
Through the live video connection, your agent can help solve issues and answer questions from the caller in an accessible and effective manner.
